Mauka To Makai
Mauka to Makai is a Hawaiian saying that represents the breadth of ecosystems between the Mauka (mountain) to the Makai (sea). Here you can dive into the Pacific ocean and climb above the clouds to the 13,796 foot summit of Mauna Kea in less than 2 hours. The pressure in my ears hasn't returned to normal but we did go Makai to Mauka.

South Side
Contrary to popular belief, the Big Island of Hawaii, Naalehu to be specific, is actually home to the most southern point in the United States, not Key West.
With the exception of a few atolls and perhaps a small Pacific Island, the only landmass south of this point in the world is Antarctica. Now isn't that a trip?!
